Hello Guardians!

Many of you have been asking for information about A New Era, Eldarya’s new adventure.
Here is everything we can tell you about this new opus.

Note: If you haven’t finished episode 30 For Eldarya, we suggest that you not read the following so as not to spoil your adventure in The Origins.

The web site will undergo a few changes. Eldarya will be adapted so it can host A New Era, without impacting your current story. Therefore, two separate universes will be set up, while taking into account the requests for improvements that were brought up over the past few months.

Know that even if you haven’t completed the first opus of Eldarya, you can still start your adventure in A New Era. To discover more about the first opus, don’t hesitate to consult the Archives in your Library.

In-game, you will be able to find information about your avatar and your companion, who will be common to the two Eldarya opuses.
For example, if you decide to change the hair of your A New Era avatar, it will also be changed for your The Origins avatar. It is the same for your companion: you will send the same companion in exploration, whether you are on the The Origins or A New Era map.

Seven years have gone by since your Sacrifice. The city has changed and the inhabitants of HQ have rebuilt themselves: certain have evolved, and others have left for new adventures.

Concerning your love life, you can have a relationship with one of the four boys available as Crushes. You’ll find Nevra, the charmer of the city and Leiftan, the savior of the Lands of El. A new arrival may also catch your eye: Mathieu, with whom you have a lot in common. Finally, the fourth Crush, true to himself, is staying in the shadows for now… /static/img/forum/smilies/wink.png

Concerning the other characters, you will be able to find our little wolf of the Shadows, who had grown, as well as his dear Karenn! Huang Hua will also be at your sides when you awaken, and don’t forget one of the most important guardians of HQ: Jamon! You will also be reunited with other characters and get to know new ones, but you will need to be patient a bit longer to meet them all!

Your friends have evolved during these past years. They are no longer the people you once knew… they have changed, mentally and physically. After such a long absence, all your L’o’Ms will be reset to zero. This way you will be able to start fresh with everyone and rediscover all the people that you cherished so much.

Your soul was linked to the Crystal, which allowed your body to not be impacted by time, or almost! Besides a few extra locks of hair, you will find your avatar as it was during episode 30 For Eldarya.

Everyone has been impatiently waiting for your return, including Purriry, who has taken care of all your clothes and accessorie. Your closet remains intact: you can wear clothes from The Origins in your A New Era adventures, and vice-versa!

Of course, Purriry didn’t wait for you to create new pieces…
Three outfits will be available in the shop at the beginning of your adventure! Here is a sneak peak:

New personalization items will also be added gradually with new episodes and events.

New “little” feathered/furry/scaly friends will join the Eldarya adventure in this second opus, and will bring a few changes with them.
During one of the first episodes of A New Era, you will meet a new companion who will accept you right off the bat! A traveling companion will be assigned to you during your story, to facilitate their on-screen apparition during your adventures.

Don’t worry, you will be able to choose the companion that you want to spoil and that will be your exploration companion, like today. There will just be a difference between the companion on your profile and the companion in your story.

Concerning explorations, you will have different maps depending on your adventure. Only one map is available on both opuses; HQ, with a few graphic modifications!

Note: If you have unlocked 10 exploration places on the HQ map during your adventure in The Origins, they will also be available in A New Era.

New maps can be unlocked as you advance in your A New Era story.

>> A NEW WAY TO MOVE AROUND<<

This new opus will bring several changes, notably concerning the way you move around. With A New Era, your maana will no longer be spent each time you move around, but rather with each dialogue played. These changes will be applicable to both adventures.

Note: This new system is still being calibrated. Our main objective is to offer a system that is at least equivalent, or more advantageous concerning the cost of episodes, therefore more equal for all the players by eliminating the random variable of movements.

The mini-games Gem’bomb, Bubbl’Temple and Egg’Pick will still be present for this second opus!

>> Video Policy
Eldarya will be subject to Beemoov’s video policy, that you may find here. This policy is only applicable to Eldarya A New Era. Videos already present on YouTube that the story of The Origins will not be impacted.

You will be able to find a post dedicated to each episode on the forum where you can share your impressions and opinions.

>> The Bindles
Purral has new bindles for you! Four new outfits can be found; one of each rarity! The new bindles should arrive soon: don’t hesitate to check out Purro’Swap regularly! /static/img/forum/smilies/wink.png

>> The Events
The annual events will be for the most part based on your adventure in A New Era, but you can still enjoy these events if you are playing The Origins. /static/img/forum/smilies/wink.png

And yes, the events will be available on both opuses!

This is amazing! While I am concerned about the maana cost change, we will hold you to your word about being equivalent or advantageous toward the players.

I'm curious about the outfits though, they look guard related, so can we only obtain one?

Regardless, I am looking forward to A New Era!

I second that, the Manna situation especially but with the HQ map.....what if someone starts from the very beginning and sees all these locations but they are never explained to them via the story, like that storm. Maybe I'm over thinking due to being tired.

Also since manna is really our only currency so how will that work in advantageous way since now we get charged for breathing and thinking like in MCL.

In case someone doesn't know what it is bad: til now, if they wanted you to spend 100 maana, they send your guardian for a walk say, from HQ to the beach, which only takes as long as clicking 10 times. In the new system, you'll have to force your way through 10 prompt of badly written, forced dialog.

Forced, because it'll only be there for you to waste maana. Badly written, because, well, the whole "The Origins" is.

Other than that, it all sounds interesting. Leiftan's face looks kinda weird, tho his outfit got improved. Jamon looks great, so does the new HQ map. Same wardrobe for both versions: phew!

1. After MCL, WHY would you remove love interests again?! Like seriously. I lose my route in MCL and now again here. I know what I'm not playing now I guess.

2. Making this dialogue based is a mess when Eldarya has A LOT of dialogue due to lore and being fantasy based and the episodes were generally already pretty pricey.

But ugh, if anything, this shows me that Beemoov just doesn't care about their fans anymore. They're repeating the same mistakes and just going for whatever they think will make them money over any actual quality or communication.

I believe not ;-; Now the only new thing will be unlimited movement. Though I think it'll give us even more problems. Just take a look at MCL! PA is disapearing as if it was dirt. No, I don't like that at all...

Regarding boutique outfits, I've that strange feeling that these outfits are based on guards which is not the best thing ever.

And there come love interests as well. What have they done to Leiftan?! Though Nevra looks cool, I'll admit that. Mathieu might be interesting and I have my suspicions as to who exactly fourth love interest is. We'll see.

I'm also really looking forward to seeing how they're trying to make it so that newcomers not knowing The Origins storyline could still play it. I'll be on guard, really happy to witness that (❁'◡'❁)

I really don't get the negs about the maana change, can someone explain please :)
Because i personally have always hated being charged for moving around looking for some stupid character and not finding them for about 1000 moves and just completely deplete all my maana because of it. I'd rather have my maana be spent on something that at least progresses me in the story.. So to me as long as it is 'equivalent or advantageous toward the players' i think it sounds great.

I already thought characters in Eldarya are rather stupid and irresponsible, guardian included, but now they'll also have a habit of making prolongued speaches about nothing.

I think it's because they fear the episodes will be more dialog based than movement based and that they will charge a ridiculously high price per dialog, even the ones that only are "next". At least it wont be like Moolight lovers where you can't stock up the currency.

It's the system MCL has taken since its second season and simply put, it's not balanced.
It's great in idea, but horribly executed and you'll generally spend about 4-5x more on average (usually at least 2-3x minimum and up to 10x more at most).

It's also incredibly immersive breaking to run out in the middle of a conversation. There's good ways to do it and always progressing is a good thing, but there were ways to make it work with the old system too and Beemoov isn't bothering to balance it at all. They just want to drain people of money.

And Eldarya especially has always been incredibly wordy so there's no way the price will end up being cheaper to play through.

Well, I can't say I'm surprised with regards to anything Beemov does anymore, and it's kind of typical of them to figure out the most pricey way to get players to play a game. Changing it from moves to dialogue for maana costs was just typical after they did on MCL.

As for the new designs on the love interests...yeah, Leiftan's face does look a bit odd, but since it'll be a while before I get to the new era portion of the game anyway, I can wait a LONG time before getting to that.

Avatar-wise, I'm glad that they took into consideration maybe 1% of what people have been saying and kept them the same. I have no idea how I would've reacted if they changed the avatars as well after all the outfits so many of us have collected and whatnot, but let's just say that it would not have been pretty. -_-

Also, does anyone have an idea of what's going on with the Summer Event? Or are we not having one this year because Beemov feels that "this" is more important?

Typical Beemov though: give players something that almost NO ONE has asked for, and ignore what MOST of your players are saying.

There were some spoilers floating around before they were deleted (rightfully so) that looked like they were for the summer event, but remember its usually in August when this event comes out. The issue with that is with no new episodes players will have nothing to do till then.

That's actually really amazing that this is all happening but this all seems familiar- Doesn't it?? Almost the same changes as MCL and that didn't turn out so well and they lost TONS of players for it.

Personally I'm curious to see how this update will go; Perhaps the maana change will actually help players rather than hurt them?? Plus this gives me a chance to catch up with everyone-- I basically gave up at episode 11 lol. I'm really excited about the new clothes, crush, designs, and up-coming events~

Seems like 2020 is the year of the internet and pandemic crisis.

Okay so if i understood it correctly the problem isn't really against the change to free movement and dialogue costs specifically but rather the possibility of it making it more expensive?
Then if they really keep the promise of 'equivalent or advantageous toward the players' then no one should really mind it right? :)

Regarding the dialogues: i never read them, i just spam the next button because the story doesn't intresset me anyway and therefor i couldn't care less if the writing was bad or not or if there was a lot of them or not.
I do however care about walking around wasting maana on trying to find characters that don't always pop up on the first try..or second..or third..
I also have a tendency to get lost every time they send us to the forest..or a cave.. because i can't be bothered to pay attention, so i just rather they'd give me some crappy dialogue because then i can at least be happy knowing that no matter what i click it will still cost me the same to finish an episode.

I don't care about any of the other changes and I would be fine with it all, except that you removed my route. Sure you must still have at least half of the player base playing this since Leiftan and Nevra are staying. But the minority that was on Valkyon's or Ezarel's routes surely must feel left out. You took away what was the most important part of this game, for me at least and it's a story with the love interest I care about.

I'm mildly interested in the new clothes, but I definitely won't play this "new era". I hate these forced time skips and removed characters... -_- + they took my Valkyon away! I won't forgive that.

I'm still holding on to hope when they said that the new system would be "equivalent or more advantageous". Since they'll charge us for dialogue, maybe it'll be 2 maana for each dialogue. MCL ended up as a mess with 2 AP per dialogue, but that's because we only got 20 AP per day. So having 2 AP per dialogue would be great here because that would be 25 per day, not including minigames.

I really would have thought that Beemoov would know better than to take away Valkyon and Ezarel's routes. I'm on Nevra's route, but it's still really unfair to those who are on their routes. I really hope that they somehow come back later on in the second season though. Also, the new routes seem pretty interesting.

So yeah, I'm kind of excited for this, even though I'm only on Episode 13 right now, hehe...Does anyone know when the new season is posted?

Thanks, I see the bright side now: caves of Balenvia won't be half as paiful now, haha!

While I still read dialogues and like to know what's going on overall, I don't care about romances, so the time skip and missing love interests don't bother me at all.
But I do get why people who care are not happy.

I highly doubt the maana change will be "equivalent or more advantageous". They don't listen to the players after all. I bet each dialogue will be 10 maana or something including "next".

After reading this post, I'm actually looking forward to A New Era! I wasn't too invested in any of the previous love interests (I switched from Nevra to Ezarel mid-way through, and don't mind the loss of Ezarel), so I'm excited to see if I'll choose the 'new' versions of Nevra or Leiftan or one of the new love interests. I'm also excited for new companions, reacquainting ourselves with old characters, new bindles, and an updated art style.

That said, it's frustrating when you remove players' preferred LIs from the story. I didn't play MCLU because, after coming back to MCL from a hiatus, I discovered you removed ALL THREE routes I wanted. It's incredibly disappointing that this trend continued here. I wish you'd kept all four from Origins AND added the new two for six total. It seems fairer that way. I'll say that I'm pretty skeptical of the dialogue-maana changes, but the execution remains to be seen and I hope its cost won't be like I've heard MCLU's is.

So glad I stopped playing. Really. Beemoov is the worst company in the otome genre I have ever seen.

Removing routes again??? Changing the AP system again??? You are so obviously money-hungry that it makes me nauseous. Zero respect for the players that have been here since day 1.

Also, Leiftan looks so bad now... it's disappointing, I don't like the braid at all... he was my route before I stopped playing.

I came back to check out the news and was greeted by this entire disaster. Nothing has changed. Literally nothing... Smart people learn from their mistakes, beemoov......

My heart breaks for Valkyon's and Ezarel's fans. I know how you feel, I lost my route in MCL (Lysander) and never forgave them for this disgusting move.

I really don't want to be a Negative Nancy right now, but I feel like sharing my honest opinion - for unknown reasons, really, as it will not change anything in the company's approach.

Unsurprisingly, Beemoov let me down once more - I don't know why they always feel the need to get rid of characters... I guess they weren't as popular as others. I'll especially miss Ezarel (the crush I set on my account). If only we got a better farewell, at least; this way, it would've been easier to accept that he will no longer be part of the game.

I doubt that the "new" (*cough cough* MCL) maana system will be beneficial for both the players and the company. I don't believe that's possible simultaneously. They're definitely changing the system for their benefit, which I partially understand, as it is their own game and they have the right to do so. But they should be more mindful about the players as well. Useless dialogues shouldn't be the mainstay of the new season, which I'm afraid they will be, like in MCL.

The only new things I'm digging are Erika's and Nevra's new appearances and Leiftan's new outfit. Nevra, especially, looks really nice imho, so at least there's that, I guess...
